  • How are Kwanzoo and Tableau integrated?

    With the new Kwanzoo Integration for Tableau, marketing departments will be able to get the best of both products by using Kwanzoo’s powerful data integration and harmonization engine to create a single source of truth marketing set. Then utilize that data source in Tableau to feed its best-in-class self-service analytics visual exploration across the enterprise. From Kwanzoo, marketers can publish tuned marketing data sets directly to Tableau Online/Tableau Server. They will also be able to download the data extract as a .hyper file for exploration in Tableau Desktop. Tableau users will be able to easily access and merge this data with other data sources enterprise-wide to drive greater insights.

  • Why would someone use Tableau when they can make dashboards in Kwanzoo?

     A few reasons are: 

    1. they need the endless exploration and flexible data visualization technology of Tableau to ask and answer questions of their data; 
    2. they have an existing set up in Tableau which they want to keep leveraging and extend the value of; 
    3. their team is Tableau savvy and they want to keep up with a single platform for data exploration; 
    4. they want to make Kwanzoo data available in a cross-department view of the organization, which can easily be done in Tableau.

  • Is the data source you published to Tableau Server an extract? Can it be live? If extract only, does it need to be manually refreshed and published to the server?

    The connection will default to a live connection, but Kwanzoo is sending refreshed extracts at

    the schedule chosen in Kwanzoo. It is advised to make the Tableau connection an extract and

    set the refresh to just after the Kwanzoo file was sent. You can schedule refreshes up to hourly.

  • Does Kwanzoo allow companies, such as agencies, to support their clients with a single license in self-contained environments?

    Yes, Kwanzoo offers siloed Workspace environments for companies with multi-tenancy.

  • What are some of the technical limitations of the connectors?

    5 Million Row limitation per report, but we can break out the send and union later if needed. 

    API limitations are set by the Kwanzoo platform and will be addressed as needed.


  • Is there a “pull” connector from Tableau?

    Yes, this functionality is currently being developed. It was be released in the 2020.4 Tableau release. 


  • Does the Kwanzoo Data Connection work with both Tableau Server and Online?

    Yes, it works with both. The data extracted from Kwanzoo can be further joined with other data sets in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Prep Builder.
